Sleepfriends™

Sleep like a baby tonight.

Hire trusted humans to help you relax deeply and sleep via video/audio calls.

Sleeping pills.
Meditation apps.
Podcasts.
Leaving the TV on.
A drop of whiskey.
The sound of rain.
White noise.
Lavender spray.
Reading a book.
Sigh.

You've tried it all. You just can't sleep.

Or if you do, you wake up the next day feeling groggy, anxious, exhausted and irritable.

Perhaps feel like you'd pay or try anything just for one good night's sleep.

Because deep down, you know how much lack of sleep is affecting your health, your mood, your performance and your relationships.

Introducing Sleepfriends™.

Sleepfriends™ are trusted humans who can help you deeply relax and de-stress via a video/audio call an hour before or during before bedtime.

Sleepfriends can do:

  • Guided deep relaxation
  • Friendly chats
  • Active listening
  • ASMR (whispering)
  • Bedtime stories

The science behind Sleepfriends.

Sleepfriends was started because our Founder and CEO, Nick Hatter (one of the UK's leading life coaches), found how easily his clients were falling asleep in sessions when he did guided relaxation with them.

They would also report sleeping better and would come back looking refreshed the next week.

It turns out there's a science behind this.

The problem is that most people with sleep difficulties (except for those with physical causes) have a hard time self-regulating their nervous system which keeps them feeling 'wired'.

But according to Polyvagal Theory+, when we have quality connection with people we feel safe with, this helps put us into 'Connection Mode', where neural circuits are triggered in our bodies that calm the heart, relax the gut, and turn off the fear response.

And if you feel safe, calm and relaxed, you will fall and stay asleep much easier. It's that simple.

As much as we love meditation apps, the sound of rain and podcasts, they miss a vital ingredient for relaxation:

Real-time human connection.

What the experts say:

"Polyvagal Theory tells us that quality human connection triggers neural circuits that calms the heart, relaxes the gut, and turns off the fear response leading to feelings of safety and, therefore, better quality sleep"

Frances Masters, BACP-Accredited Psychotherapist, Founder of Fusion Therapeutic Coaching
Fellow of the Association for Coaching
Author of PTSD Resolution

"There is no doubt that live guided relaxation can be a very powerful tool to helping restore a good night’s sleep as an addition to professional psychological/medical support"

Joe Griffin, Psychologist and Co-founder of Human Givens psychotherapy
Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society

How it works:

1. Watch a Sleepfriend intro video

First, you'll watch a pre-recorded intro video of a Sleepfriend to see if you like their vibe and personality.

2. Casual chat & chemistry check

If you think a Sleepfriend could be a good fit, you'll have an informal chat with them during the day via a video/audio call to get to know each other to see if you feel comfortable with them.

3. Guided pre-sleep or sleep session

An hour before or during bedtime, your Sleepfriend will do guided deep relaxation via video/audio call to help you relax and prepare you for sleep. You can leave your camera off for added privacy.

4. Wake up feeling recharged

Better sleep means more energy, improved physical and mental health, better relationships, improved physical and mental performance, better mood, and more*.
